Description

Amazon is looking for a Software Development Engineer who is passionate, innovative and have a heart for Nourishing People and the Planet. You will be working on designing and developing long term, scalable and high-impact programs within the Worldwide Grocery Stores Tech (WWGST) organization.

You are an innovator and excel in an ambiguous environment. You love starting on an ambiguous problem and carrying it through until customers can use it. You deliver quickly to customers, but never lose sight of the greater architectural goals and move the team further towards them with every incremental launch. You build the hardest thing first to de-risk the project and you solve only what we need to right now, but always keep the big picture in mind. You dive deep to understand how all customers use our products, not only your own use cases, and then invent on their behalf. You participate in setting standard for quality in the development team. You will design, develop and deploy reliable distributed solutions that operate at Amazon scale. You will work with a variety of core languages and technologies including Java, Linux, and AWS services. Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
