Oracle Senior Software Developer in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

As part of the Database Software image cloud service project, you would be working on a live Oracle OCI (Gen 2) Cloud service that went live on Sep 2020. This service deals with the delivery of patched, optimized Database and Grid software images to the customer base. The team also contributes to the Open source Single Instance Database Operator development for Kubernetes.As an IC3, you would be responsible for either a complete feature(s) implemenation or part of a large scale framework implementation for the Database Software Image Cloud service or on the Operator development.You would need to be proficient in all aspects of SDLC, since the job role would entail preparation of the Requirements Spec, Design specification and Code development of the feature/function in question. Strong computer science fundamentals with experience in the latest Design patterns and Open source, Industry standard tools available today would be preferred.Collaboration with other teams, like Documentation, Cloud Operations, Cloud SRE would also be part of the job description in this role.Candidates for this role should be strong in Python and goLang. Familiarity with Dockers and Containerized architecture, preferably Kubernetes is also a prerequisite. The candidate would also need to be familiar with the Operator SDK and development of CRDs using this. Additionally, candidates should be familiar with the Django Framework since its extensively used in the service.Oracle database internals and SQL knowledge is a plus since the Cloud LCM toolkit is for the LCM of the Oracle Database at large.Familiarity with Agile based development models is also an important prerequisite for this role.Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills also would be a prerequisite for this role.
