Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Senior Member of Technical Staff:

CSS SaaS Engineering organization envisions building a platform and Control Plane to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while advocating for customer needs. The CSS engineering team has been developing industry-leading enterprise software for decades and enabling customers to realize potential through innovation and digital transformation. We provide you with an opportunity to design and build a Control Plane for SaaS and PaaS customers on the cloud and enable CSS to deliver services through software and achieve Customer First Outcomes. You will be part of the CSS engineering team as a UI developer. You will be engaged with a highly collaborative DevOps team to build a control plane for CSS customers and CSS Functional teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for UI development for CSS Control Plane and other Web applications using Oracle JET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript

  • Participating in code reviews

  • Delivering large-scale projects on time with high quality

  • Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others

  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in the web application

  • Assist with build and deployment using automation scripts

Desired Skills/Experience

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent

  • Love of programming and rock-solid in one or more languages.

  • Strong programming skills in Oracle Jet / Typescript / JavaScript / ReactJS, HTML, CSS

  • Expert with one or more modern JavaScript frameworks like KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, AngularJS or ReactJS

  • Git branching strategies and distributed development

  • 5+ years of industry experience

  • Experience in integrating REST APIs

  • Good knowledge of problems and solutions for cross-browser compatibility
