Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Develop a re-usable platform that delivers the complete software stack from the Linux OS to the Docker application and orchestration environment, including both security and serviceability features.

  • Collaborate with tech lead and architects to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend our portfolio of platform services and solutions.

  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Agile, CI (Continuous Integration), software and product security, application scaling, documentation practices, refactoring and testing techniques.

  • Write code that complies with company and regulatory standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.

  • Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.

  • Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards.

  • Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 5-7.

  • Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.

  • Learn and help others adopt new technologies

Qualification/Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelors/Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related disciplines A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in

  • Strong Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes skills

  • Strong Shell scripting skills

  • Hands on experience deploying the containerized workloads to Kubernetes, Virtual Machine, Docker

  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and an ability to quickly learn new technologies.

  • Has the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks.

  • Understands the technology landscape, up to date on current technology trends and new technology, brings new ideas to the team.

  • Displays understanding of the project's value proposition for the customer. Shows commitment to deliver the best value proposition for the targeted customer.

  • Learns organization vision statement and decision making framework. Able to understand how team and personal goals/objectives contribute to the organization vision
