Job Description Summary
Consult with clients on integrating Mechanical integrity programs and strategies including Risk Based Inspection (RBI), Inspection Management, and Thickness Monitoring for fixed equipment, using the GED Asset Performance Management system. Assist with installation, configuration, setup and training of GED’s APM solutions. Consult with GE’s clients on implementing Mechanical Integrity initiatives using industry-proven methodologies, and in developing effective inspection strategies.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
Assist clients in setting the vision, direction and strategies for the Mechanical Integrity program
Satisfy customer’s maintenance and inspection planning requirements by applying practical knowledge of how to implement Inspection Plans, Maintenance Items, and Task Lists.
Work directly with customers to help them leverage the latest software technology and industry best practices to transform their industrial processes
Provide effective facilitation for all areas of Mechanical Integrity program implementation.
Train the client on the APM Integrity work processes, software implementation of the work process and the application of the work process.
Assist and provide expert advise on APM program adoption and value realization
Develop technical and functional specifications for implementing the GED Mechanical Integrity APM solution in accordance with customer requirements.
Conduct classroom and workshop training of the GED’s APM Mechanical Integrity modules and work processes
Work to develop relationships with client team members and leverage these relationships to help the client achieve success.
Drive change orders and account expansion by working with the project and commercial and presales teams
Help commercial team with scoping at the ITO stage to balance customer needs and GE solution capabilities
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 12 - 15 years’ experience in facilitating Mechanical Integrity, inspection and RBI implementation projects in conjunction with client Subject Matter Experts.
Having a strong background of corrosion engineering and familiar with corrosion mechanisms with strong knowledge in API 571/NACE codes
Minimum of 12 - 15 years fixed equipment engineering and plant maintenance experience in at least one of the petroleum, petrochemical, utilities or other manufacturing industries.
Must be able to demonstrate thorough knowledge of Risk Based Inspection methodology (API 580/581)
Experience with production processes in the refining, petrochemical, chemical and process industries and is confident to venture into other processes which candidate does not necessarily have direct experience.
Good understanding of the American Petrochemical Institute and other industry Inspection Codes and regional jurisdictional codes. Preferably, some knowledge of other international inspection and compliance codes/jurisdictional codes
Inspection Planning development and project management experience
Experience in developing and conducting training on software systems
Experience in conducting workshops on RBI implementation with internal/external clients
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Mechanical Integrity software experience with GE APM
Must be willing to travel globally
Desired Characteristics:
Technical Expertise:
Knowledge of GE APM (must), PCMS, E2G,RBMI,Visions (Metegrity) ,DNV Orbit, RB.Eye, Shell RRM is a plus
Thorough knowledge of Risk Based Inspection methodology (API 580/581)
