Position Overview

This is a critical new position in our People Insights team, under the People & Places (PPL) organization. The People Insights team drives our mission to empowering employees to achieve the new possible through actionable insights from data for better decision making.

If you enjoy being part of a dynamic, inspiring team and are an experienced Front-End developer with an eye for design, we would like to hear from you. We are seeking an experienced Front-End developer with 3-5 years of experience to develop internet applications using React.js, R Shiny and related technologies. We are looking for a candidate who is proactive and wants to handle interesting challenges. You will help build user-friendly interfaces, write clean and maintainable code, and optimize application performance. You will report to manager and its a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• You will develop new functionality using React.js, R Shiny that balance high configurability with great user experience

• Gather requirements and design specification from clients

• Develop front-end and server logic for apps

• Be a subject matter expert for providing seamless design experiences

• Write tests to ensure app functions as intended

• Evaluate current software architecture and implement enhancements

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using best practices

• Test to ensure the quality and reliability of the application

• Create clear and detailed documentation for code and technical specifications

• You will experience troubleshooting issues with users in different phases regarding requirements clarification, solution/planning review, status/progress sharing

• You will design and implement proper software architecture to achieve the right business outcome

• You will create best practice into team/product and promote our best practice/achievement to outside

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies

• 12 to 16 years of experience developing React web applications (using hooks, redux and router)

• Experience creating dynamic data visualizations in React preferably using d3.js

• Knowledge of UI/UX principles

• Experience with R and Shiny

• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling

• Experience using Git for version control

• Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners

• and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway

• Experience with Node.js

• Experience with backend development and databases
