XCM (Cross Channel, Cross Category Marketing) India team at Amazon India is seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development – Tech Manager to lead Content Publishers Growth for Amazon Associates Program, a global leader in online marketing and one of the largest paid advertising channels for Amazon. Our Associates business is an integral part of the Amazon marketing mix, bringing new customers to the site, driving existing customers to discover new products or programs including the many benefits of Amazon Prime. With its global network of over 1MM publishers and influencers, the Associates (Creators) program is a leader in online marketing and one of the largest paid marketing channels for Amazon.

As a customer obsessed, digital media enthusiast, you will influence and build upon the success we have had with top Media, Entertainment and Lifestyle Publishers in India. Using your deep knowledge of the market and digital media landscape, and with a solution-oriented mindset, you will identify opportunities to deepen collaboration with strategic publishers, identify and develop new business relationships and opportunities for Amazon, and collaborate with and influence our category, deal and product teams to develop innovative programs which help unlock new opportunities for Amazon and our Publishers. Our BD team on Creators directly collaborates with strategic customers to build new, industry-specific partnership opportunities that directly impact and transform the way our Creators can partner, create, and earn from us at scale.

This role requires industry experience, partner, product, and business development skills. The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about long term durable business trends and technical execution challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build actionable plans and alignment.

Key job responsibilities

• Provide thought leadership, and educate various internal stakeholders on customer trends and investment opportunities for growth

• Build new, innovative programs 0-1 through rapid experimentation, thought leadership and customer-backwards approach

• Develop and drive monthly/quarterly/annual/long-term and cross-Amazon acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth objectives for Content Publishers. Own annual Content publisher revenue growth objectives.

• Define, identify, approach and onboard to Amazon top strategic digital publishers and commerce content creators

• Drive special deal terms and negotiations with content publishers to optimize growth

• Drive adoption of products, including tools to implement effective integrations (Advertising API’s, Education resources, Playbook etc.), reporting tools, product feeds etc.

• Work closely with leadership and product teams to inform product roadmap and provide feedback on product requirements

• Partner with Marketing and Retail category leaders to support strategic Amazon businesses

To excel in this role, you will:

  • Have strong knowledge of the market, key media players

  • Be willing to “roll up your sleeves” and operate with limited guidance

  • Bring analytical horsepower and a deep curiosity about how things work

  • Be commercially savvy and have excellent business judgment

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
