Position Overview

The renewal specialist is responsible for driving, forecasting and ensuring closure of renewal in territory account. This role works primarily through direct customer engagement & collaboration with partners to drive closure & identify/reduce risk on renewal to avoid churn. This is a hybrid role, and the base location will be Bangalore with occasional travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • The Renewal Specialist (RS) will manage the renewal process for existing customer accounts, ensuring that contracts are renewed promptly, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. This role is critical in maintaining customer satisfaction and driving revenue growth through successful renewals.

  • You will ensure all actions necessary to renew every agreement takes place, both indirectly by reseller partners and through direct purchases, together with supporting expansion transactions.

  • You will ensure full renewals motions are taking place, together with engaging directly with customers where risk to renewal is identified.

  • In addition to managing track deals RS will align with reseller partners to coordinate all pipeline and forecast review sessions.

  • Implement strategies to retain customers and prevent churn, including addressing any issues or obstacles that may affect the renewal process.

  • Provide bottoms-up forecast and accountable for all primary activities for driving better renewal visibility

  • Track renewal deadlines and proactively reach out to customers to initiate the renewal process well in advance of contract expiration

  • We are looking for a post-graduate with 5+ years of renewal Sales or account management experience, specifically in managing large customers."

  • It is an IC Role & will report to Customer Success head in India

  • Renewals Execs need to maintain SFDC (Stage/Forecast category) for all renewal deals

  • You will build partners review process for pipeline discussion

  • You will ensure high customer retention by addressing customer issues that would affect renewal

  • You will work in collaboration with other teams (Sales, Customer Success, Autodesk Resellers) to ensure smooth renewal processes.

  • Along with Sales team develop strategic account plans that align with customer goals and improve renewals

  • Focus to improve skills related to customer success and renewals.

  • You will monitor renewal metrics and track measurements related to renewal rates, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.

  • Demonstrate, proactive engagement with customers, Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects that lead to long-term renewals.

  • Improve renewal processes and identifying ways to enhance customer retention

  • You will Identify opportunities for upselling additional products or services and cross-selling relevant solutions to increase overall account value.

  • You will build relationships with important partners within customer organizations.

  • Exceed assigned renewal quota

  • Experience balancing multiple sales opportunities simultaneously and handle complex customer interactions.

  • Track record in customer account management and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forecast Accuracy: Critical is to forecast our quarterly business performance accurately and effectively.  RS will be expected to accurately manage the track deals pipeline for respective coverage area, forecast the overall business, as well as accurately predict the status of each track deals

  • Coverage: To have the maximum impact on the overall business results, the renewals roles are expected to have demonstrated valuable coverage of all track deals to identify risk .  Coverage is defined by having direct engagement with the customer or partnered engagement together with the reseller partner.

  • Partner Cadence: RS is expected to have regular review cadence with resellers for improve visibility from run rate deals

  • Attainment : The RS is a quota-carrying sales role, with renewals salesperson measured on achieving and exceeding their assigned quota.  These quota assignments are a combination of both new and renewal business, which drives the expectation that the RS supports overall growth in the account with both maximizing renewals and support new and expansion transactions.  In addition to quota assignment, the renewals roles will also be measured on performance relative to budget for both renewals ACV/Billings and Renewals Rates for covered solutions.  Both quota as well as budget attainment will be key performance metrics.
