Job Description

Oracle’s Financial Services Analytical Applications group is responsible for the development and marketing of financial industry-specific marketing, profitability, risk management, fraud, and regulatory compliance analytics applications. Our software is used in over 70% of Global Systemically Important Financial Institutions. Our market leading financial crime and compliance software suite is used by leading financial institutions globally and underpins Anti-Money Laundering and Enterprise Fraud systems at some of the largest financial institutions in the world.

Oracle software is powered by advanced analytics (Big Data, R, Apache Spark, Engineered Machines), and our group employs data scientists, financial engineers, software developers, and product managers; all of whom are focused exclusively on developing advanced analytical applications for the Financial Services Industry.

We are looking for an individual with prior experience in B2B cloud applications and analytics to lead the Scrum team responsible for a suite of SaaS-based financial crime and compliance applications. As AML Principal Product Manager you lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. You organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

You will be an integral member of a world-class team of product managers who are responsible for our Financial Crime and Compliance (FCCM) applications. Within the team, you will be responsible for the development of SaaS products that focus on identifying and stopping money-laundering and terrorist financing.

This role requires knowledge of B2B product management practices, cloud applications development and understanding of the financial crime/ anti money-laundering business domain on a global level. It will require you to understand complex business challenges, translate them into functional requirements and work closely with the development team to drive the development forward, targeting timely and high-quality product releases to ensure client success.

Knowledge of advanced analytical methods that underpin application software solutions in this space is desired but not critical.

You will part of the team that supports the direction for Oracle’s Financial Services Analytics Group and as such, you are expected to work in close collaboration with Product Management, Data Science, Engineering and Sales leadership in the development and implementation of the requirements for the Transaction Monitoring applications.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in senior B2B product management roles

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B SaaS-based applications

  • MBA and/or Engineering degree with relevant Financial Crime and Compliance industry experience

  • Background in financial crime and compliance

  • Experience with advanced analytics, machine kearning, NLP and AI technologies – an advantage

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proven record of working with a global distributed team

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for…

  • Owning the application roadmap, prioritizing differentiating features which will make a meaningful positive impact for our users and buyers.

  • Developing deep empathy with our users, understand their frustrations and work with the engineering organization to develop innovative features to solve for those challenges.

  • Developing the requirements for your product portfolio and for translating the department’s vision into practical product requirements.

  • The product backlog is kept up to date and development process is moving forward.

  • Performing market analysis and definition and how it impacts product strategy and position. Analyzing the competitive landscape. Assisting in the marketing plan to develop collateral such as product messaging trees and data sheets.

  • Present the development milestones and perform hands-on demonstrations of early prototypes to key customers.

  • Support go-to-market release plans and develop collateral that will support the implementation and on-going support of the product.

  • Collaborate with development managers, software engineers and data scientists in developing product requirements and specifications.
