Job Description

The Oracle Communications Global Industries Unit is a leading provider of Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operations Support Systems (OSS) to the communications market. These systems automate the ordering, monetization, service configuration & deployment processes enabling service providers to rapidly deploy new innovative services. CGIU has a customer base that includes market leading global Tier 1 CSPs and we are looking to expand even further.

This posting is for a Product Management position with a focus on the Oracle Communications Order and Service Management (OSM) application. The Product Manager acts as the central resource and driving force for the strategy, requirements, definition, test and marketing of Product(s) as they move from conception to GA to EOL. This role is critical to the Product strategy & roadmap, and involves researching & defining the key Product requirements and functional design.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Product Management team, you will:

  • Research and write detailed communications and technology requirements including Customer journeys

  • Work closely with development teams to build the functional design with detailed use cases

  • Play the SAFe Product Owner role (own and maintain the product backlog and define priorities for sprints)

  • Specify and define changes to existing and new Products

  • Suggest Product direction & roadmap

  • Review integration and regression test plans created by QA

  • Review Product Documentation and Release Notes

The applicant should demonstrate:

  • Product Management experience (or equivalent)

  • Technical experience, either software development or professional services

  • Excellent Communications domain knowledge

  • Strong experience in Oracle Communications Applications Products, particularly Oracle Communications SCD, UIM, NI, OSM, ASAP and IPSA

  • Ability to work closely with Development Teams for the execution and delivery of the Product Roadmap, including playing the SAFe Product Owner role

  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and related tools (Jira, Confluence)

  • Ability to work with Customers, Sales, Support, Product Management, Partners and in a virtual team

  • Ability to be a Product evangelist with Customers – serve as a senior Product leader both internally at Oracle and externally

  • Knowledge of network technologies and services, B2C/B2B/B2B2X service domains, cloud native architectures, advanced analytics and AI/ML

  • Strong information management and communications skills

Requires a Bachelor of Engineering or a similar degree. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical & business skills. Contributes individually and as a team member.
