Oracle Principal Member of Technical Staff - Java Cloud in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

The Oracle Health organization is building a modern healthcare ecosystem with a robust API layer to facilitate third-party integrations. We're actively seeking skilled developers to spearhead the creation of the next-generation API platform and deliver a world-class developer experience for users of Oracle Health APIs.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and be able to handle driving design and projects of increased complexity across the platform. This can include but is not limited to implementing proof of concept designs, driving discussion with external stakeholders, and providing design oversight and technical project leadership to other engineers on the team.

Basic QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent.

More than 7 years of experience in developing and operating APIs

Demonstrated proficiency in writing excellent code in Java, Python, or similar object-oriented languages.

Proven track record of designing and implementing APIs that scale efficiently and securely.

Demonstrates strong expertise in cloud technologies, including OCI, AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.

Utilizes telemetry in software engineering to inform and make data-driven decisions

A solid grasp of fundamental system design principles and best practices in distributed systems architecture.

Hands-on experience managing a vast ecosystem of APIs, with knowledge of essential tooling and best practices for efficient operation and maintenance of large-scale API networks.

Skilled in leading teams and mentoring developers, with a proven record of managing projects effectively from inception to completion, aligning with organizational goals

Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to multiple stakeholders and audience types.

About the Team:

The Open Platform Engineering team focuses on creating a robust, standards-based API ecosystem to extend the Oracle Health Millennium® platform to third party developers. Leveraging HL7® FHIR® and SMART® standards, we are fostering a community of innovators working on some of toughest challenges providers face today in health care. We also drive participation in the broader industry through the engagement of our development community as well as the working groups pushing the evolution of the standard’s definitions.
