This role will be based in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities:

  • You will own the full-stack development for one or more of our products, create long-term technology roadmap or the team, socialize them with stakeholders and drive execution of various solutions by collaborating with cross functional teams in product, UX design, engineering, siteops, and finance.

  • You will lead and manage the engineering team with a passion for mentoring and growing top engineering talent.

  • As a hands-on manager, you will participate in key technical and design discussions with technical leads in the team. You will provide technical leadership by driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross functional critical programs.

  • You will be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship.

  • You will identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity.

  • You will work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

  • 1+ year(s) of management experience or 1+ year(s) of staff level engineering experience with management training

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with semantic HTML, CSS and object-oriented JavaScript, jQuery; or similar languages

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive programming experience in modern JavaScript / TypeScript / similar languages; similar frameworks such as EmberJS / React

  • Deep foundational knowledge of data structures and algorithms

  • Shipped several large-scale projects with dependencies across multiple teams.

  • Management experience across multiple skill sets (e.g. Application/Backend, UI/Frontend).

  • Successful track record of managing a team of engineers to deliver multiple projects on time and with high quality

  • Actively coached, mentored and grew team members in their careers.

  • Active involvement in the creation and execution of technical strategies and roadmaps
