Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Global Delivery and Solutions department within the Enterprise Customer Success organisation. We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in providing prompt and high-quality support to our internal solution productisation and Project Consulting teams in developing Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) solutions, assisting them in developing high quality products through automated processes. You will work with other teams including IT, Operations and Developers in maintaining CI/CD solutions for ECS Productised tools and Customer delivered Projects. Further, you will also work with project management, product management, quality assurance and documentation teams thus providing an excellent opportunity to be involved in different aspects of product development. You will report to Solution Engineering Manager. This Job workplace type will be Hybrid and Job base location is Bangalore.

Responsibilities

• Engage with internal clients to understand their products/tools CI/CD requirements

• Design CI/CD solutions, using programmatic solutions and automation

• Automate configuration and deployment of product software builds across multiple environments

• Maintain DevOps configuration and Azure resource hygiene

• Interact with IT Cloud Teams to provision required resources

• Manage build infrastructure in private and public cloud space

• Identify and guide automation of tasks associated with CI/CD processes

• Maintain documentation and diagrams outlining automated solutions and build architecture

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters/bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent with excellent academic background

• Minimum 5- 8 years of relevant work experience in large-scale software development

• Technical hands-on experience in managing software build environments that support multiple ongoing development efforts

• Continuous integration/deployment tools (CloudBees Jenkins, Jenkins)

• Source Code Management tools (GitHub, Perforce)

• Strong scripting languages such as Groovy, Bash, PowerShell and Python

• Experienced with Azure cloud

• A variety of computing environments; Windows, Mac OSX and Linux

• Project & collaboration Management Systems (DevOps, JIRA, Confluence Wiki)

• Development tools & SDK's such as Microsoft Visual Studio, CMake, XCode & GCC

• Familiar with software engineering practices, SAFe, AGILE, DevOps methodologies

• Developed/Developing solutions built on Azure cloud

• Ability to explain technical details clearly to all kinds of stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Automate compute deployment (Terraform, Azure Pipelines) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef or similar)

• Work with containers (Docker) and virtualization technologies (VMWare)

• Binary management through Artifactory or Nexus

• Migrated private data center to Public Cloud (Azure & AWS)

• Automate infrastructure deployment and IaC tools/Infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Packer)

• Authoring pipelines and everything-as-code

The Ideal Candidate

• Keep abreast of technology industry trends, solutions, standards and methodologies

• Able to run scrum and lead calls with developers and technical consultants across organisation and GEO's

• Engage with customers and Autodesk team members to stay on top of project / Productization requirements

• Identify potential new product solutions that the market will embrace

• Determine/champion use of common/inner source components vs. building duplicate functionality

• Advice decision makers in Make or help with buy versus build decisions

• Adapts to and leads change

• Addressing technical hiccups between software development and operations, and finding solutions to keep projects on track

• Coaches the team in the acceptance and support of change

• Mentoring skills
