We have an opening for a Data Engineer to support SAP HANA, Snowflake, Business Objects, Informatica, PowerBI, and related applications hosted in the cloud. Our engineering culture will empower you to make effective decisions, work collaboratively, and take accountability for engineering projects at the company's core.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 Incident Management support for Finance Applications, including applications hosted in public and private clouds, to meet business service levels.

• Provide technical expertise in discussions with internal stakeholders during blueprint requirements gathering, solution/design sign-off, the demo of the configured solution, and final UAT sign-off for any project.

• Take ownership of critical issues, enlist proper representation from other support teams and drive towards resolution.

• Act as a single point of contact with our vendors to resolve functionality and performance issues.

• Solve problems occurring with our production systems and build solutions and automation to prevent them from happening again.

• Work with integration tools and reporting tools to ensure the correct system-to-system communication.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge, strong understanding of application frameworks and infrastructure, and comfortable navigating multiple systems and reading code.

• Take part in establishing team vision, mission, yearly operations goals, and tactical plans in alignment with key business areas, IT and the organization

• Drive cost optimization by identifying opportunities to leverage solutions cross-functionally across business areas and generate economies of scale

• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, configuration documents, test plans and other documentation as per validation requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a data architect, data scientist, or data engineer.

• Working experience in the development/support of SAP HANA, HANA EDW, Business Intelligence reporting (SAP Business Objects and Microsoft Power BI preferred), and Matillion/ Informatica.

• Working experience in SnowFlake and DBT.

• Experience in administration, ownership, and/or security work for Business Intelligence reporting (SAP Business Objects and Microsoft Power BI preferred).

• Expert knowledge of SQL tools and languages.

• Strong skills in databases, data warehouses, and data processing.

• Strong troubleshooting skills, experience analyzing trace dumps and deducing what to optimize to speed up queries and processes.

• Strong team player and ability to learn quickly

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines

• Enjoys problem-solving and working through ambiguous scenarios.
