JD Edwards is an enterprise solution for managing business processes and solving business challenges for any-size business with development centre spread across Denver & IDC (India) working together as a single team. Critical issues are monitored and worked on a 24X7 model – with efficient collaboration between these locations. The development centre has dedicated Core Product Development, Customer Success & Information Development Teams.

As a member of the Product Engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the product’s architecture.

Role Objective:

As a member of the Product Engineering division, you will be performing the role of a Business Analyst, responsible for developing and executing software test plans, analyze and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions. Should be a subject matter expert in the functional area and take key decisions for the product and customers.

Also, should be able to apply basic knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Role Summary: Qualifications and Special skills

Qualification:

BE/ B.Tech/ MCA (Graduate or equivalent degree)

4+ years of software testing or related experience.

Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical personnel

BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area

Automation testing experience in OATS/Selenium

JD Edwards experience will be an added advantage

Should have had prior experience with software development, configuration, and troubleshooting

Perform duties and tasks which are standard with some variation

Display understanding of roles, processes and procedures

Perform moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes.

Did not sit for an interview with us in the last 6 months.

Special Skills:

Possess experience with C & Basic Database Structure.

Possess experience with, preferably, JDE applications / exposure to JDE development Tools

Demonstrate basic understanding of domain for which applications are being developed

Build enhancements (including new product features)

Build and execute unit test and unit test plans

Debug, fix and unit test product defects

Contribute to functional and technical designs

Perform code reviews

Teamwork

Contribute to the definition of the team processes and standards

Operate under minimum supervision, primarily within the boundaries of the team

Cooperate with others within and outside group who impact work processes to achieve group objectives

Required Skills: Object Oriented Principles, C/C++, Java and SQL.

Preferred Skills:

Exposure to Agile development methodologies.

Any candidate with prior JD Edwards experience would be a plus.

Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
