Primary Purpose

Intramural Basketball Scoreboard Operator is responsible to operate the scoreboard and time clock during intramural basketball competitions held at the COCC Mazama gymnasium.

Essenatial Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keep track of scoresheet information, i.e., team rosters, personal fouls and timeouts before and during each contest.

  • Maintain the scoreboard so that it is ready for weekly competitions.

  • Follow established rules when a competition goes into overtime.

  • Know and uphold all Intramural basketball league rules during competition.

  • Follow established procedure, along with on-site supervisor, in the event of a sports injury.

  • Model sportsmanship and maintain appropriate conduct towards players and spectators.

  • Model nondiscriminatory practices in all games/competition.

  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned that supports the overall objective of the position.

    Ergonomic Requirements

Work hours are determined by the supervisor and vary based on business needs and locations. Position assignments may be assigned an alternate schedule to service the campus needs. Requires the ability to sit or stand at workstation for extended periods, and possibly in various weather outdoors. Occasional lifting up to 25lbs. All individuals are required to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Some playing experience and/or knowledge of the sport.
