The Cad Technition/ Production assistant is responsible for managing projects and transforming client requirements and architectural drawings into computer designs upon which the production process relies. Project management includes communictation throughout the entire production process with internal staff as well as vendors, architects, and field workers. Essentical Production Assistant Functions Use Cad/Cabinet Ware/ Cabinet Vision to create design plans Identify project material requirements Order project materials Maintaining purchasing records Make design spec decisions Evaluate impact of design revisions Communicate verbally/in writing with vendors, architects, clients, field staff, and internal staff. Working conditions: The Production Assistant works in a dynamic environment as a result of heavy workload, changing requirements, and tight deadlines. He/she must be able ot manage projects and deliver accurate, high-quality computer designs in a timely manner through efficient use of appropriate design software. The nature of the work environment requires flexibility and willingness to work extra hours as needed to meet production deadlines.
