Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for lay out, fit and fabricate steel metal components to assemble parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

· Perform MIG Steel Welding operations on a standard/repetitive line of steel products as well as custom/non-standard products following prescribed procedures.

· Place, fit and arrange appropriate parts in proper positions on welding fixture to ensure correct dimension tolerance.

· Must be able to adjust and regulate welding equipment to obtain best possible penetration, fill, weld quality, performance, and the appearance of products within prescribed standards.

· Perform first piece and in-process inspection on all work completed.

· Other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES:

· Ability to read work instructions.

· Basic computer skills.

· Able to read standard and metric rulers.

· Must have the ability to read tape measure, blue prints and schematics.

· Able to work overtime and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Manual dexterity

Pay and Shift:

6AM-2:30PM (Monday-Friday)

24+$/hr

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand;

Reach with hands and arms and talk and hear.

The employee is occasionally required to walk and lift up to 50 lbs.
