About the Department

Washington Campus Coalition for the Public Good (WACC) is a coalition of over 45 higher education institutions in Washington committed to advancing the public purpose of colleges and universities, educating students about the workforce and civic leadership, and working in partnerships to cultivate vital and sustainable communities across the state. WACC administers multi-state national service grants and federally funded AmeriCorps grants focused on educational equity, improving college access of under-represented students, food security, mental/medical health, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. WACC provides training and networking opportunities to colleges and universities in the areas of educational equity, civic engagement, campus/community partnerships, and program/ federally funded grant management. WACC oversees a statewide student civic fellows’ program and hosts an annual Student Civic Leadership awards program.

Washington Campus Coalition for the Public Good is hosted at Western Washington University in the University Relations & Marketing Division. About the PositionThis position provides administrative support for WACC programs and staff, including processing fiscal forms and transactions, HR forms and transactions, contracting, supporting scheduling, travel coordination, data entry and administration, office management, and event planning and logistics.

Required Qualifications-High school graduate or equivalent

-Experience in an office setting interacting with customers, clients or others.

-Demonstrated experience multi-tasking and managing multiple projects and duties with a high level of attention to detail.

-Demonstrated familiarity with practices that support diversity, equity and inclusion in a work environment.

-Experience with policies and procedures in regards to purchasing, contracts, etc.

-Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.

-Professional oral and written communication skills adaptable to multiple audiences.

Preferred Qualifications-Experience with Banner, Millennium, CMM Contract Management or comparable EAS platforms for budgets, accounting and administrative functions.

-Experience in higher education, government, non-profit or similar setting.

-Experience in HR, hiring or onboarding.

-Previous event management or planning experience.

-Bachelors Degree or similar administrative experience may substitute year-for-year.

Salary $3,284 - $4,498/month depending on qualifications and experience.
