With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages.

As Head of PC2, you will lead our worldwide regulatory, policy, compliance, and insurance strategy and product, as well as change management organization. You will partner across functions including Tech, Product, Business Operations, Communications, Legal, Marketing, Public Policy, and Public Relations to deeply understand the regional nuances and state of the business operating environment today and in the future. You will manage a continually evolving zero to five year roadmap and proactively find opportunities to mitigate business risk by aligning Amazon Flex to internal policies and applicable local, state, provincial and national requirements. A successful candidate will have a deep interest in regulatory, compliance, and governmental affairs and shaping long term brand and program perception. A successful candidate will also think across borders, partnering with colleagues in 8+ countries to think globally about how to confront common problems.

Key job responsibilities

  • Working with Legal and Public policy to understand current and forward looking delivery industry and gig economy related regulatory environment in US, Mexico, Canada, UK, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Australia, and India.

  • Reporting current state and potential changes to the status quo to senior leaders on a regular cadence.

  • Developing a deep understanding of the business and internal programs, processes, and systems and identifying discrete products or features to improve our program, ensure compliance, and address risks.

  • Recognizing patterns and developing both short- and long-term strategic plans to address those patterns.

  • Thinking Big and injecting new and innovative ways of thinking into the program to enhance long term scalability and sustainability.

While doing so, you will be obsessed with the Amazon Flex delivery partner experience, ensuring that we are developing the right strategies to keep them happy and run our business. You will manage a 25-person team of product and program managers and motivate them to move fast toward your north star vision, while remaining nimble and showing great bias for action in a quickly evolving last mile delivery channel.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • 6+ years of team management experience

  • 12+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Experience with Independent Contractor business models or package delivery industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience engaging and influencing senior executives

  • Law degree or MBA and experience in a highly regulated environment, working with legal and public policy professionals (e.g. within government, companies, consultancies, trade associations, or equivalent organizations).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to cater these communications to different audiences.

  • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $160,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $265,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
