Amazon’s World-Wide Fulfillment By Amazon (WW FBA) organization is looking for an innovative, results-oriented and strategic Sr. Finance Analyst to partner with WW FBA Product, Tech and Operations leadership team, leading the growth into this complex but fast-growing space.

We are looking for a Finance professional to help steward our growth into this complex but fast-growing space. We are looking for a strategic and operationally-minded leader to join our WW FBA Product, Tech and Operations Finance Team, who is not afraid of ambiguity and challenges the status quo. Individuals in this role have advancement opportunities to support different businesses and multi-functional teams, to lead new programs and initiatives, and to manage larger teams within the company.

Key job responsibilities

The successful candidate will

  • Shine in ambiguous situations, navigating between the details and big picture, and playing the primary role of owner of our organization’s most visible mechanisms and artifacts (e.g., weekly business reviews, quarterly business reviews, annual operating plans, 3-year vision plans).

  • Partner with WW FBA Product, Tech and Operations leadership team to develop and drive operational processes (Business Reviews, Finance and Operations, Goal Management), reduce the cost to serve, drive people-driven programs, technical programs (ability to understand complex technology-driven initiatives and programs), and a general ownership of the business cadence.

  • Influence successfully at all levels, thinks strategically, is a talented finance analyst and a strong organizer, takes initiative, and operates effectively across many teams.

  • Peek around corners, is biased for action in ensuring the team is set up for success in achieving our goals, and earns trust with the Seller Partner Risk Protection team and other stakeholders.

A day in the life

They collaborate with executives and various business units across Amazon. A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to innovate, identifying the high-priority work and projects supporting FBA Product, Tech, Operations, reduce cost structure and solving complex problems that effect strategic decisions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
