Join the team that drives Amazon's Digital products (Kindle, Music, Video, Prime etc.). Amazon’s Digital Acceleration team is looking for a Senior UX Designer to lead and raise the UX bar for how we engage with, onboard, and deliver support for our Amazon clients.

We seek an individual with the creative vision and technical acumen to deliver customer obsessed UX that measurably improves our client experience. It is an opportunity to lead and influence how we simplify and expedite client interactions. You will define and propose new design patterns, interaction models, and features that delight across multiple customer personas. Working backwards from a client experience north star you help envision, you will work closely with product and development teams to innovate, implement, and iteratively explore concepts. You are a conceptual thinker with the ability to analyze and break work down into near and long term phases. You excel at managing and influencing broad stakeholder groups, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative inputs to propose and support delivery of innovative features.

This role requires excellent presentation skills (written and oral), insight and data driven analysis, technical deep-dives, strong business judgment, a deep curiosity about how things work, and a passion for improving customer experiences.

Key job responsibilities

• Bring a strong, customer-obsessed point of view.

• Synthesize consumer insights, business opportunities, product analytics, and competitive intelligence into concepts that scale.

• Lead design activities like brainstorming, user testing and iteration to turn concepts into tangible solutions.

• Create design artifacts like user flows, wireframes, visual mocks, and prototypes to communicate your ideas.

• Independently present work, socialize ideas, and manage stakeholder expectations.

• Work alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the product development to ship results.

• Work with the team to identify, track success metrics for design.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of design experience

• Have an available online portfolio

• Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

• Knowledge of design tools such as Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, and Dreamweaver

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

• Experience with UX design of complex workflows

• Knowledge of usability principles and techniques

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
