Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, Alexa International Finance in Bellevue, Washington

Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of our Alexa International Finance team. Alexa is the name of the Amazon cloud service that powers the Echo device family, the groundbreaking Amazon devices designed around your voice. The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments.

This Business Partner role requires a self-starter with solid business modeling skills and a good track record of being an adviser to the business.

This job has regular interaction with business leaders across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. This role also involves partnering with the business to develop financial models for advertising and other subscription programs for International locales that will drive key strategic decisions for the business.

Key job responsibilities

1) Serve as a key finance partner supporting the Alexa International Business.

2) Lead the development of financial models and advanced analytical tools that aid in key decision making.

3) Drive creation, implementation and reporting of financial and engagement performance metrics.

4) Build out business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction.

5) Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
