Amazon Program Manager III, SSD-Direct in Bellevue, Washington

Description

This role will support Sub Same Day Direct (SSD-D) operations, owning critical workstreams as part of Amazon strategy to create faster and cheaper delivery for customers. We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager with NACF/AR field operations experience and a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional and technology projects and programs. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential. We are seeking a Sr. Program Manager who will be an integral part in driving changes across SSD-D operations, supporting top-down and bottom-up changes in partnership with NACF and AR programs partner teams. You will be responsible for briefing senior leaders on portfolio performance across your assigned span of control. You will be responsible for providing expert guidance to operators and managers while managing the successful delivery of projects and goals across multiple organizations.

• Develop and define program strategies, effectively leading and motivating teams.

• Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics.

• Accountable and singled-threaded-leader (STL) for weekly performance of program KPIs

• Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills.

• Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and project success.

• Evaluate and prioritize projects in conjunction with customer needs and technical team inputs.

• Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems, preventing common project pitfalls.

• Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues.

• Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives.

• Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • 2+ years of operational and/or retail management experience

  • 1+ year NACF Field Operations Experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
