Key job responsibilities

As a Principal TPM in the Applied AI team, you will run the Applied AI program across WW Amazon Stores. This will include discovering relevant areas, going deep to understand their metrics and technology, and producing a monthly artifact that will be reviewed at the Stores Leadership level in the Applied AI MBR

You keep all your stakeholders up to date on your products, upcoming capabilities, and future plans. You independently represent your products and the team, and are comfortable communicating with executives as well as with business and technical stakeholders.

About the team

The Applied AI team uses advanced ML and Generative AI techniques to help scale the inputs for our large e-commerce business. Scaling in the past was limited by roles that could be done manually, in a timely manner.

This is a new focus for our business, and the opportunity is huge!

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Ability to work backwards from customers and with key stakeholders, e.g. to trade off addressable business opportunities against available resources. Experience in defining, evangelizing, and realizing the vision for a new product area.

  • Track record of innovation, initiating and proposing strategic product initiatives, and defining the vision for strategic technical programs.

  • Experience in compiling and effectively communicating business plans, technical proposals, and product roadmaps to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience in developing and mentoring junior product managers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience working with data preparation techniques, and ML modeling frameworks and tooling.

  • Experience designing and building products for developers and scientists.

  • Passion for learning new technologies and finding ways to apply them to improve our customers’ lives.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
