Amazon Engagement Principal, TPM, AWS Support - Kumo in Bellevue, Washington

Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal TPM to join our team. The Kumo Engagement Principal TPM is responsible for educating, enabling, and helping drive adoption of Kumo's products and services within the large AWS Support organization (15K+ builder strong) and AWS Support external customers, as well as driving Kumo-wide strategic, high-impact, complex programs and initiatives. They work closely with internal customers to understand their business needs, build mechanisms that help Kumo and its customers operate at scale to maximize customer benefit, and drive efficiencies across the organization. They engage with and help provide internal customers clarity on Kumo's roadmap, and collaborate with them to prioritize investments appropriately.

Internally within Kumo, they work with leadership to drive tech and business programs that have impact not only across Kumo, but also across AWS Support, and beyond. They establish scalable, lasting, and efficient mechanisms to better inspect and optimize our business.

Key job responsibilities

Product Strategy: Work with customers and product management to develop and execute comprehensive product strategies that align with the organization's vision and goals.

Enablement & Collaboration: Build and maintain strong mechanisms and relationships with key stakeholders, including internal customers, service partners, and internal Kumo teams, in order to deliver positive outcomes for the business and customer operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that product requirements are met and that feedback is incorporated into the product development process.

Technical Assessment: Conduct thorough technical assessments of new product and service ideas, including feasibility, risk, and return on investment. Identify and mitigate technical and business risks that may impact the success of the product.

A day in the life

As an Engagement Principal TPM in Kumo, you will engage and work with Kumo product leaders and AWS Support stakeholders to align priorities and identify/capitalize on product adoption opportunities. Conversely, you will work with internal customers to help them build mechanisms for their product request prioritization, and build and execute Kumo mechanisms to drive ongoing alignment.

You will also work with Kumo product and engineering leaders to manage projects and programs that raise Kumo's delivery bar.

As part of the Gaido team in Kumo, you will serve as a senior mentor and guide to more junior T/PMs and drive best practices as part as Kumo's TPM guild.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

  • PMI/Program Mgmt. Certifications

  • MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
