JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. Collaborates with clients to modify or tailor existing analysis or reports to meet their specific needs. May participate in management reviews, including presenting and interpreting analysis results, summarizing conclusions, and recommending a course of action. This is a general role in which employees work with multiple types of business data. May be internal operations-focused or external client-focused.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Works with PO to understand, elicit, analyze, document and communicate program and application requirements.

• Expert in translating end user/customer requirements into Stories complete with Acceptance Criteria, easily understood by the development team.

• Helps the Product Owners to define and own the value definitions of Stories.

• Typically works ahead of the team to elicit requirements for the next Sprint's Stories.

• Creates Stories in format that supports Acceptance Test Driven Developments

• Provides discipline, rigor and technical skills to the requirements definitions and validation process.

• Engages stakeholders to ensure the team is receiving necessary inputs.

• A strong understanding of the system we are working on OR a strong desire to learn it and become proficient.

• Ability to enter coherent Stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.

• Assists in ensuring documents are in order for meetings/UAT, etc. (Example: Updating UAT spreadsheets to reflect appropriate stories being tested and plans testing them, updating the FAQ, etc.)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education

Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience

• 3-5 Years of business analysis

• 4+ years managed care experience

• Demonstrates familiarity in a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures applicable to job-related subject areas.

• Full exposure and life cycle of a project, specifically requirements in gathering and user acceptance testing

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Experience

• 1-3 years formal training in Business Analysis and/or Systems Analysis

• 1-3 years of Agile Methodologies knowledge

• 1-3 years experience of Jira
