Job Title: Production Supervisor -- Fusible Alloys (aka Low Melting Temperature Alloys)
Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role involves managing a team of production workers, coordinating workflow, and collaborating with other departments to achieve production goals. The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a smooth and productive manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. - - Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on production supervision. - - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. - - Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. - - Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. - - Familiarity with health and safety regulations. - - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting a safe and respectful working environment.
- Schedule and assign tasks to ensure timely completion of production goals.
Production Planning:
- Collaborate with General Manager to develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Monitor and adjust production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
Quality Control:
- Enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to minimize defects and improve overall product quality.
Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Implement and oversee lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels.
- Coordinate with the General Manager to ensure materials are available for production.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding production status, challenges, and achievements.
Performance Metrics:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve production performance.
Analyze data to identify trends and implement corrective actions as needed.
