DESCRIPTION OF WORK In the role of a Licensed Psychologist Manager at the Department of Corrections, your primary duties will involve overseeing the psychological services program within the institution. This includes tasks such as planning, organizing, and directing the program, as well as collaborating with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive care for inmates.

Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new policies and procedures for existing programs to enhance the quality of services provided. You will also serve as the chairperson of the population psychiatric review team, overseeing the evaluation and treatment of individuals with mental health needs within the facility.

Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in the Clinical Review Team for suicides and attempted suicides, providing expertise and guidance in these critical situations. You will collaborate closely with psychiatry and medical staff to ensure the well-being of inmates and conduct psychological testing and evaluations to inform treatment plans and interventions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment (37.5-hour work week) Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist; or One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation or behavioral dysfunction. Special Requirement:

You must possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.

Other Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
