Eaton Corporation Senior Power BI Developer in Belgrade, Serbia

For our regional Electrical Sector Controlling team in the EMEA region, we are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer.

The role is located in our office in Belgrade, Serbia and it is reporting into the Regional Controller Electrical Sector EMEA.

Role overview:

This role is connected to the EMEA Headquarters for FP&A Finance team, and it responsible for enhancing the use of business intelligence data to improve the speed and quality of finance decision making across the Electrical Sector EMEA region, by developing a reporting out platform.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Power BI - Build reports & dashboards, leverage data from various data sources such as Oracle Smart View (EPBCS), SAP (COPA), potentially from Cloudera and/or Snowflake

  • Leverage best in class data visualization skills to enable a wide range of stakeholders from Executives to End users to access reports and drive insights

  • Design, Leverage and manage data access throughout the reports

  • Leverage data engineering skills to build advanced queries to solve complex business challenges

  • Work with stakeholders across functions within EMEA to fully understand and anticipate requirements and build effective solutions to drive improved decision making and business performance

  • Work with the EMEA Headquarters for FP&A Finance team to design, build, deploy and maintain BI solutions according to established standards (data processing, data warehouse, data marts) in accordance with the requirements (performance, data volume)

  • Create Persona differentiated (Executive, Mid, Operative level) dashboards, establish detailed end-user documentation for owned reports. Work towards standardization of naming, formatting, design, layout and handling to drive a user friendly output

  • Translate business, functional and data architectural requirements provided by the Finance team into technical specifications

  • Work in close collaboration with the Data Architect within the Finance team but also independently with occasional reviews on critical stages according to deliverable milestones

  • Proactively seek new solutions and propose improvements both for existing and new reports based on feedback from stakeholders

  • Deliver ad-hoc, quick and agile data insights as required by the business across the Electrical Sector EMEA Finance Function

  • Serve up complex data based Power BI dashboards to stakeholders in a clear, meaningful, and digestible manner

  • Leverage knowledge in Power BI to develop data insight tools for business functions - this includes doing trainings to stakeholders to navigate through the data

  • Build strong relationships and open communications with key members of the supported area

  • Test the analytics solution, conduct troubleshooting, provide maintenance and adequate technical documentation

  • Supervise releases and provide first line support for technical issues

  • Travel may be required, but only occasionally

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Data Analytics or equivalent

  • 5 years+ of experience as a BI Developer

  • Advanced Analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to resolve complex, often unknown and varying types of business problems Finance and other fields

  • Excellent data visualization abilities

  • Highly proficient in Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Strong Data Design skills, working with large datasets

  • Understand complex business scenarios with the ability to explain stakeholders in a non-technical, easily understandable business language

  • Influencing skills to resolve scenarios where deliverable is too complex and compromise is needed with business stakeholders

  • Deliver solutions based on limited background in unknown business fields

  • Highly adaptable when hitting a roadblock quickly realigning to deliver resolution on deadlines

  • Proactive attitude actively seeking and understanding potential difficulties and suggests resolutions

  • English language at fluent level is required due to high international exposure
