Strategic Product owner is a great role, reporting into the Manager Product Strategy, you will support and manage various projects and product improvements to develop and grow the product and portfolio strategy for our Consumer & Business Card (ICS) portfolio in the BENELUX. Because of it’s end to end customer journey responsibility the role offers great opportunities to connect colleagues & ideas and brings much diversity in your day to day activities.. Your primary goals are to build winning products and services to increase growth, improve engagement and retain cardmembers.

This role requires a hands-on, data driven value proposition marketer with excellent communication and financial skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set the product portfolio agenda by developing and implementing strong co-brand and Centurion line products, in partnership with our local and regional teams.

  • Provide ideas for new and emerging Cardmember products and engagement capabilities in the market place.

  • Manage all product and card member touchpoints. Proactively recommend any customer journey improvement by delivering a seamless end-to-end customer experience to our card members.

  • Guide and work closely with the Communication and Acquisition Team in strengthening all customer lifecycle communications, based on customer insights.

  • Create best practice and leverage best practices within the cluster with Sweden, Finland, Norway, Spain and Argentina.

  • Drive increased Share of Wallet, reduced attrition, growth in online billings, increased NPS scores and profitable volume growth.

  • Linking pin with Customer Service, Travel & Lifestyle, Insurance, local & international benefit managers, and ICS teams, etc. to make sure all value proposition requirements are delivered and are contributing to a strong product profitability and NPS.

  • Specific responsibilities:

  • Develop Value Proposition of products and benefits that deliver strong customer value to enable realization of a high base growth ambition.

  • Preparation and presentation of projects updates for the broad ICS team.

  • Management of benefits (partners lifecycle management, customer journeys) & budget (forecasting, monitoring, invoicing, …).

  • Support for business planning and Business Unit/Market Review sessions.

  • Analyses based on raw data.

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years’ experience as product owner

  • Master degree

  • Value proposition driven, fact based, strong analytical skills

  • Proactive, curious, outward looking mentality

  • Ability to challenge status quo with problem-solving skill

  • Optimistic, team player and winning mindset

  • Financially strong, managing the product P&L and building profitable business cases

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English in addition to fluent Dutch and French

  • Customer advocate, that proactively anticipates customer needs and identifies their specific requirements. Ensures premium value is delivered and the customer experience is positive and effective to enhance the American Express brand

  • Strong relationship management skills & ability to collaborate across different line of Business’s/departments and regions
