Why this job matters

As the Contract Specialist you will execute a range of workstreams in delivering large and complex commercial and contract processes, managing and monitoring major deals across the BT Group's services and product portfolio, managing risks. This role is a hybrid Business Manager / Commercial Specialist position, where you will be responsible for the contractual obligations of some of BTs largest private sector customers, working closely with finance and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely management of the revenues and costs to the P&L.

What you’ll be doing

• Accountable for the overall performance of specified contracts, including financial, service delivery, client and partner interfaces and development of the contract.

• Responsible for monthly management of the NI private sector P&L and associated trackers.

• Maintain customer relationships and customer satisfaction, ensuring appropriate governance structures are aligned to contract requirements. This includes travelling to customer sites for face-to-face meetings.

• Deliver contract commitments within cost margins, ensuring obligations are met in a timely efficient manner.

• Support the Account Director and Account Team in delivery of account plan.

• Experience as a Contract Manager / Business Manager, or similar (Private Sector desirable but not necessary).

• Innovative thinking, with the ability to step away from process when needed to create the right tailored solutions.

• Attention to detail, being analytical and patient.

• Stakeholder management, working across all different hierarchies maintaining professionalism.

• Confidence to challenge the status quo, have difficult conversations and negotiate to your cause.
