Stantec Principal Geotechnical Engineer in Belfast, United Kingdom

We are excited to continue our growth journey in Ireland and Northern Ireland and we have further plans for expansion in the coming months.

We look forward to continuing our work with Uisce Eireann on the Engineering Design Services Framework as well as delivering key projects for NI Water in the North and a variety of other clients across the island of Ireland.

To support with our growing workload, we are seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join us in Dublin or Belfast. Having moved to a new office in Dublin City Centre and with plans for a new office in Belfast, there has never been a better time to join us.

You will have the opportunity to join a dynamic ground engineering team spread across the UK and Ireland, supporting the delivery of a variety of projects as part of a major capital investment programme.

You will help shape our geotechnical engineering services, deliver technical outputs, and support the growth of our team. You will play a fundamental role within projects to identify innovative and sustainable solutions, plan technical delivery and lead the multidisciplinary team from concept stage through to final implementation.

You will be the lead for the ground engineering team in Ireland and will work with our national UK&I team and support Project Managers by providing technical expertise to ensure that projects are delivered to cost, schedule, technical and quality standards to meet both client and Stantec expectations.

About You

You will hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or a related subject, eight or more years of relevant experience, and be a chartered member of a relevant institution such as the ICE or Geological Society.

You will have experience conducting ground investigations and site inspections, and preparing geotechnical desk studies, interpretive ground investigation reports, and geotechnical design reports and will have experience undertaking geotechnical analysis and design of structures.

You will be able to operate independently and collaborate with multi discuspline teams remotely across the UK&I.
