Citigroup Business Execution Senior Analyst in Belfast, United Kingdom

The Markets Program Execution & Transformation team works with all Markets businesses and Citi functions, including Legal, Compliance, Finance, Risk and O&T to identify, mobilize and execute responses to regulatory and cross-business transformational projects. The primary mission of the team is to design and implement integrated solutions and sustainable capabilities in the most efficient and effective way for Markets and its clients.

Examples of major programs that Markets Program Execution & Transformation currently (or recently) manage include: Brexit; Dodd-Frank Title VII; EMIR/Re-Fit; FRTB; IBOR Transition; Markets Conduct Risk; MiFID / MiFIR; Resolution Stay Rules; and multiple specific APAC/EMEA/NAM Regulations.

The Business Execution team within Markets Program Execution & Transformation, is responsible for operational support for the global team, including finance management, resourcing, management and execution of controls and management team support.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and priorities will evolve over time, however the following are some of the specific activities expected of this role:

  • Coordinate the project finance and metrics tracking processes across Markets Program Execution & Transformation globally

  • Monthly tracking of external resource time / run-rates and reconciliation with external vendors prior to invoicing

  • Liaison with Finance teams on accruals and actuals reporting against departmental cost codes

  • Coordinating quarterly updates to external resource spend forecasts

  • Supporting internal queries from project / hiring managers and management team relating to projects / program financials

  • Assisting with the planning and production of mid-year and annual budget submissions

  • Creating financial insights on YTD and forecasted spend to enable management team to make appropriate resourcing / budget decisions

  • Developing and delivering presentations to senior management covering project and program financial spend and trends.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

  • Experience of coordinating project financials / MIS reporting

  • Understanding of project / program mobilization, resource planning and expense modelling

  • Experience of dealing with finance teams on accruals, reconciliation of actuals spends and budget forecasting

  • Experience of onboarding contingent resources

  • Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills required.

Skills and Competencies – Must be able to demonstrate extensive experience of:

  • Outstanding problem-solver, Should demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail

  • Ability to work flexibly on multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives to completion effectively

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and organizational skills to mobilize and motivate delivery in a co-operative and collaborative working environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and at the right level of detail with senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate experience & delivery track record is essential

  • College/university degree education preferred.
