Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software System Integrator IV to join our team in Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD.

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer IV to join our team in the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD .

The Systems Engineer IV is responsible for applying system’s engineering principles throughout the systems lifecycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement. The Systems Engineer IV interacts with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. The Systems Engineer IV communicates with other TDP project personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives. The Systems Engineer IV is responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, to include: Technical Process Area, Enterprise Process Area, and Agreement Process Area. The Systems Engineer IV contributes to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents. The Systems Engineer IV supervises and mentors subordinate project and Team staff.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Experience with the creation and modification of Puppet and PowerShell automated installation scripts. Including Bash and Ruby

  • Understanding and working with build pipelines

  • Troubleshooting DCGS FoS component interoperability issues

  • Preparing the automated software packages for delivery to the field

  • Experience integrating hardware drivers, software releases, and IAVA packages.

  • Java or C# experience.

Knowledge/experience with some of the following tools :

  • Atlassian suite, this includes JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket

  • Jenkins, Maven

  • Nexus used to hold compiled binaries.

  • Ansible (automating SW deployments)

  • OpenShift (VM and container platform)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field.

  • 7 years of position-relevant work experience.

  • DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level III.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in STEM field.

  • Experience with DoD 5000.02 documentation requirements.

  • Experience with use case development.

  • Experience with requirements derivation.

  • Experience with developing technical project artifacts.

  • Familiarity with Agile software development process.

  • Experience with software engineering processes.

  • Experience with the software development lifecycle.

Clearance Requirements:

  • TS/SCI eligible

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary Position

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
