Description

Overview:

As the Chief Program Officer (CPO), you will be at the forefront of driving our mission forward by overseeing and coordinating all programmatic activities. This role requires strategic leadership, deep understanding of the non-profit sector, and a passion for making a difference in the community we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Development and Management:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and initiatives aligned with the organization's mission and strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure programmatic efforts are integrated and synergistic across all departments.

  • Monitor program outcomes and impact, making data-driven decisions to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the development of organizational strategic plans and translate them into actionable programmatic goals and initiatives.

  • Identify emerging trends, needs, and opportunities within the community served by the organization, and adjust programs accordingly.

  • Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and funders to enhance programmatic reach and impact.

  • Collaborate with external organizations, government agencies, and community leaders to advocate for policy changes and resource allocation that benefit the organization's mission.

  • Team Leadership and Development:

  • Provide visionary leadership to the program team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Mentor and support program staff, promoting professional growth and development opportunities.

  • Financial Management:

  • Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to develop and manage program budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial sustainability.

  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, donations, and sponsorships, to support programmatic initiatives.

  • Reporting and Compliance:

  • Prepare regular reports for the executive team, board of directors, and funders on programmatic activities, outcomes, and impact.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and contractual obligations related to program operations.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in program management

  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of driving strategic initiatives and managing teams.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make evidence-based decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively represent the organization to external stakeholders.

  • Passion for the organization's mission and a commitment to social impact.

  • Knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory, and compliance issues
