AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. Amazon Web Services has also established an AI lab in Shanghai and two IoT labs in Shenzhen and Taipei. The Amazon Web Services Partner Network has thousands of Partners in China. AWS Greater China Marketing Tech Team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who will be passionate about designing, building and operating brand-new distributed systems on scalable, agile, and secure cloud-native foundation to benefit marketers in Great China region and beyond. You will be responsible for system design, development, code reviews, peer mentoring, release processes, and system monitoring. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with excellent attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The right candidate will possess proven software engineering skills, with experience creating and launching large distributed systems with the help of a team.

Key job responsibilities

We concentrate on four areas: 1) Marketing Data foundation, 2) GenAI related initiatives to automate content generation and improve operation intelligence, 3) Marketing tools for marketing automation, 4) Marketing channel customer experience to offer seamless omni-channel experience.

We established GCR MarTech team in Feb 2022 and are focused on two broad missions: 1) provide Marketing with compliant data infrastructure and tools; 2) deliver an engaging experience for visitors and customers across channels. To support the vision, we concentrate on four areas: 1) Marketing Data foundation, 2) GenAI related initiatives to automate content generation and improve operation intelligence, 3) Marketing tools for marketing automation, 4) Marketing channel customer experience to offer seamless omni-channel experience. We work closely with global MarTech and local business teams to innovate and create the best B2B digital marketing solutions in the world.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
