Job Description

Description:

The Senior RF Engineer leads electrical design of the MR RF coil, coordinates and supports the cross functional team for deliveries. Has responsibility for delivering plan and execution, technical design reviews, BOM maintains and ICV rolling up, etc...

Duties include (but are not limited to):

1. Designing new products and/or supporting Installed Base of Analog, RF, and/or Digital electrical circuit boards, components and interconnects

2. Working with patient/customers and/or technical leadership to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects or initiatives

3. Leading design efforts with Electrical CAD and Simulation tools (Cadence, ADS, etc.)

4. Executing design to engineering standards

5. Working within a team to deliver technical solutions

6. Performing design integration, verification, validation, FMEA, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability analysis/ testing.

7. Seeking mentoring to learn and solve problems

8. Engaging in all phases of product development and support, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support

9. Developing and maintaining product quality and engineering project funnel

10. Conducting analysis of installed base and new product reliability

11. Team-oriented collaborator with solid communication skills

12. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

13. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in electrical engineering with 3+ years of experience in RF design

2. Medical device experience

3. Demonstrated experience in the following: Electromagnetics, Transmission Line design, Antenna Theory & Design, Mixers, Oscillators, Amplifiers, Analog Design, RF Printed Circuit Board Layout experience

4. Strong skills in simulation and CAD tools like ADS, Cadence etc

5. Experience with Lean methodologies, 5S, Kaizen etc.

6. Experience with Medical device standards like IEC60601-1

7. Experience with Weibull Analysis and DFR (Design for Reliability) tools

8. Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion

9. Good English in both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

1. MR related experience

2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

3. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task

4. Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets.

5. Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation
