Job Description

Grace is seeking a Sales Manager to join our Specialty Catalyst Sales team! This role reports to Sales Director, China located at Beijing or Shanghai. This role will manage the UNIPOL® PP catalyst sales in China. Total sales revenue will be around $40M each year.

Responsibilities

  • Own Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives and drive revenue to meet or exceed forecast

  • Manage distributors and channel to better serve customers and achieve Grace sales objective

  • In conjunction with Marketing, develop appropriate roll-out strategies for new products, develop and implement competitive strategies

  • Partner with Marketing to benchmark products, pricing and service levels of the competitors, and provide industry trends and competition information to Marketing

  • Interface with Order Fulfillment, Customer Service and Logistics to ensure an exceptional customer experience

  • Further use and develop Grace sales tools such as Salesforce, account planning, value selling, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or above in chemical engineering, chemistry, engineering or related field, Master or MBA is preferred

  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience in manufacturing industry; chemical industry a plus

  • Proven sales methodology and process skills for complex sales situations

  • Skilled in building customer relationships and incorporating “the voice of the customer” into sales

  • Strong business and financial acumen

  • Results oriented

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills

  • Able to speak and write fluently in English and Mandarin

  • Able to travel frequently

  • Experience in utilizing sales automation tools such as Salesforce

  • Solid knowledge of and experience in formal sales training (i.e. Sandler Sales Approach, Customer-Centric Selling, Strategic Selling, and/or Value Selling)
