The Microsoft MAI-Asia Shopping Personalization team is dedicated to creating high-quality and relevant shopping recommendations that resonate deeply with user interests. We're searching for applied scientists who are enthusiastic about developing cutting-edge shopping personalization algorithms. As a member of our team, you'll work on advanced technologies that drive our shopping solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing a world-class personalized recommendation system utilizing machine learning, user profiling, product indexing, and real-time feedback. You'll also collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to craft engaging and delightful shopping experiences for our customers.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead user and revenue growth for shopping feeds worldwide by identifying key issues within the recommendation system, including infrastructure and algorithms.
They will uncover opportunities through offline and online measurement results, driving execution across teams to continually enhance online engagement metrics such as click-through rate, user clicks per unique user, relevance rate, and ultimately revenue.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields is required.
Candidates must demonstrate strong design and problem-solving skills, with a significant emphasis on quality and engineering excellence at scale.
Ideal candidates will exhibit the ability to learn new techniques from textbooks or research papers and effectively apply them to business problems.
Experience in machine learning, especially with deep learning projects, is required.
Additional experience with recommendation algorithms or natural language processing is a plus.
Furthermore, candidates should have a proven track record of driving execution across team collaborations.
