Sony Pictures Entertainment Marketing Intern in Beijing, China

SPT Distribution China Marketing Team is always on the lookout for talented candidates keen to gain some experience in Marketing. In order to enable us to meet the statutory and regulatory obligations of the Beijing immigration system, you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work as intern and reside in Beijing, China for the duration of the Internship.

Internship Period and Attendance Requirement:

To be considered for a marketing internship in our Beijing office, you will be available and committed to at least a 6-month internship, with 3-4 working days per week physically on-site.

Business Background of this internship:

The Marketing intern will be supporting Sony Pictures Television (SPT)’s licensed Film and TV content to both traditional television channels and new media platforms in Greater China. This role will report to Marketing Director. A qualified student is expected and preferred to work in the office with the local marketing team 3-4 days per week.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in preparing marketing materials and handle all deliveries to clients for marketing campaigns.

  • Assist with offline events, e.g. roadshows, screening, talent tour, exhibitions, or any other marketing-related events.

  • Help monitor clients’ campaigns, viewership of our content and clipping reports.

  • Maintain premiums inventory as well as shipping of items.

  • Translate marketing materials from Chinese to English (and vice versa).

  • Transcribe and archive trailers or related clips.

  • Brainstorm promotion ideas and prepare marketing proposals.

  • Any other administrative support.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 3rd-year undergraduate or postgraduate with a major in Marketing, Film, Media or entertainment.

  • Computer proficiency with knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Photoshop and video editing software is required.

  • Experience in social media operation is a bonus.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to multi-task.

  • Being a positive and proactive team player.

  • Strong command of English in writing, reading, listening, speaking and translation skills; Mandarin speaker.
