Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

• 3 years of work experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.

• Experience developing games and improving performance for Android/iOS platforms, especially on game engines (e.g., Unity or Unreal).

• Ability to communicate in Chinese and English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in game development with two or more shipped titles.

• Experience in technical leadership, technical consulting or working with partners/customers/developers community.

• Experience with low level rendering pipelines (e.g., OpenGL/Metal/Vulkan/DirectX/WebGL and GLSL, or SwiftShader).

• Excellent public speaking skills, with experience presenting to large technical audiences.

The mission of the Developer Relations team, for Android, is to drive Android ecosystem success by making it easier and more valuable for developers to build high-quality and responsible apps across all Android devices. In this role, you will manage technical relationships with developers and provide engineering support and guidance to them, accelerating adoption of Android or Google Play features. You will drive developer strategy with Engineering teams, acting as the advocate of developers to bring mutually beneficial features to market.

In this role, you will work closely with developers on complex product integrations on Android apps and help bring solutions that create a cohesive experience to end users on the platform. You will also work with Product teams to help build APIs to drive success of Android platform.

• Work with game developers, Android OEMs, and game engines in China and APAC to support exciting new product integrations on flagship Android devices.

• Optimize AA/AAA game titles, resolve engineering problems with Google technologies, and scale the knowledge to improve the overall gaming ecosystem.

• Advocate for game developers internally and influence Google developer product strategy by working with Product Management, Engineering, PR, Marketing, Business Development, and other cross-functional teams.

• Drive regular, engineering-focused workshops and meetings with developers to optimize the gaming experience and resolve complex technical problems. Communicate in Chinese language to provide the best possible experience for partners in the region.
