Join us as a Sensory Lead and Application Scientist Welcome to Dairy Regional Application Center (RAC)!

At Novonesis, we're seeking a passionate and skilled Sensory Lead ready to take on application work and join our team in Beijing. The ideal candidate will have a background in sensory evaluation, research, and development within Fresh Dairy and be eager to contribute to the success of our RAC and customer plants.

The candidate will be key in planning, conducting, and evaluating experiments, actively participating in projects while ensuring company values and procedure compliance. As part of our team, the candidate will engage with customers, promote our knowledge-based company image, and take on various responsibilities related to Sensory Science and Fresh Dairy Global Application.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

• Act as the local sensory lead to manage the internal sensory panel and conduct sensory-related activities, including sensory evaluation and training for internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with colleagues from the Fresh Dairy application teams globally, focusing on sensory aspects.

• Plan, execute, and report on trials at the RAC and customer plants as directed by the RAC Manager.

• Plan and design laboratory research and develop experiments and projects.

• Critically evaluate and interpret the results obtained.

• Conduct and ensure completion of technical service reports (TSRs).

• Provide technical support to sales and customers in a specific area, collaborating closely with the segment responsible.

• Can take on a multifaceted position, meeting high demands for analytical skills, innovative thinking, and working cross-functionally and cross-culturally.

• Collaborates closely with business development to develop and document existing concepts and solutions on the technical side.

• Engages with customers in a courteous and professional manner.

• Maintains lab GMP environment and adheres to HACCP policy for all lab activities.

• Enjoys the combination of sensory responsibility (50%) and project management/execution (50 %).

To succeed you must hold:

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field

• Professional working proficiency in English and Chinese (oral and written)

• Proficient problem-solving skills and practical aptitude

• Strong team-oriented mindset

• Positive and adaptable attitude

• Quality-focused and detail-oriented

• Methodical and structured work approach
