Here’s What You’ll Do

Patient Care

  • Prepares room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies)

  • Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures

Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing

  • Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factors

  • Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique

Equipment Operation and Maintenance

  • Troubleshoots and properly documents equipment malfunction

  • Maintains equipment and room to sanitary standards

Education Associate's Degree Applied Science Req Or

Other completion of accredited program in cardiovascular technology Must obtain RCIS within 6 months of hire Req Or

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent 2 Years work experience in invasive cardiology Req

Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Req Experience 1 Year vascular or cardiac angiography Pref or

2 Years required with high school diploma Req Licenses and Certifications ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire Req And

GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist If ARRT Only Upon Hire Pref Or

RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program Upon Hire Req And

LMRT ? Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist If RCIS Only Upon Hire Pref Or

RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist For Electrophysiology Labs (EP) Only Upon Hire Req And

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req Supervision Individual Contributor ADA Requirements Extreme Heat 1-33%
