Nike Senior Manager, HR Readiness in Beaverton, Oregon

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The HR Readiness Senior Manager leads a team of Human Resources (HR) readiness professionals dedicated to preparing our HR and People Solutions teammates for critical HR initiatives as well as ongoing HR programs and services. By readying our HR team we are able to better counsel our Teammates and Leaders through the moments that matter in their career journey at Nike. Moments include HR policies and procedures, benefits, performance management processes, compensation, HR systems, onboarding/offboarding, and other general HR issues.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be part of our Teammate Experience Services and Readiness team, which is focused on both readiness and advisory/service center support within our HR function. You will work collaboratively across HR teams (e.g. People Solutions, HR Portfolio, COEs, Business HR, etc.) to ensure smooth readiness in advance of all HR service and program rollouts, including both new and annual/regular events.

The HR Readiness Sr. Manager will lead a global team focused on readiness delivery. The Readiness team builds strong relationships with teams throughout HR to understand their programs and provide strategic advice and counsel on how best to ready HR teams through communications, training and other tactics. The team assists with the creation and delivery of Readiness content to effectively prepare our HR support teams.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will be responsible for developing an HR Readiness strategy and roadmap that clearly articulates the team’s purpose, scope and ways of working. Additionally, you will work with change management SMEs to develop a holistic approach for change preparedness for HR programs – including not only HR teammates but all Nike teammates and leaders across the globe.

Key responsibilities:

  • Refine and socialize the HR Readiness strategy to ensure there is visibility and alignment to the team’s purpose, scope and ways of working.

  • Work with the HR portfolio team to understand the body of HR work and prepare the readiness team in advance of activations.

  • Partner with HR Content and HR Communications team to understand upcoming activations and to align on roles and responsibilities.

  • Guide and champion a team of Readiness professionals throughout their delivery – including support of new programs and ongoing changes to HR policies, processes, and projects. Monitor delivery to ensure standards are met, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Review HR program/service materials and provide thought leadership on appropriate readiness strategies, including audience identification, content and delivery methods.

  • In partnership with other leaders across HR, champion innovation and continuous improvement opportunities to delivery elevated experiences for Nike Teammates.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 8 or 9 years directly relevant work experience

  • Direct experience leading and/or being part of a fast-paced readiness, change/transition management and/or communications team.

  • Knowledge of standard change/transition management principles and methodology (e.g PROSCI, ADKAR, etc).

  • Experience developing readiness plans and creating a wide variety of employee readiness, communication and training content across various channels.

  • Ability to clearly communicate information across a sophisticated matrix of corporate, regional, and functional teams, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication and listening skills with a broad business audience.

  • Strong mentorship and coaching capability to develop talent; ability to motivate and guide a high performing team.

  • Workday and ServiceNow experience preferred but not required.
