MKS Instruments Inc Senior Document Control Specialist in Beaverton, Oregon

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Senior Document Control Specialist in our Equipment Solutions Business Unit (ESB), you will partner with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and others to support the ECO (Engineering Change Order), MCO (Manufacturing Change Order) and NPI (New Product Introduction) processes by maintaining accurate documentation within the Agile PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) database and SAP ERP system. In this role, you will report to the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Thriving on working in a team environment as well as being self-driven to deliver objectives and develop your knowledge and expertise.

  • Performing ECO analysis, SAP data entry, and audit of data migrated from Agile into SAP

  • Conducting ECO Change Review Board Meetings to communicate implementation plans and resolve any issues.

  • Monitoring ECO progress, identifying problems, and taking corrective action as required

  • Executing best practices for implementing changes to new or existing products and processes in imaginative as well as practical ways.

  • Coordinating and communicating across multiple departments such as Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to clarify ECO intent, ensure appropriate changes are documented, and coordinate follow-up actions.

  • Working on problems of diverse scope through data analysis, demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Networking with senior internal and external personnel as well as working independently to meet a variable workload with little day-to-day instruction.

  • Creating ECOs for design engineers, time permitting, and for product line mass changes

  • Performing individual assignments as directed, including as an IT PLM/MRP project partner.

  • Travel Requirements: Up to 5% of Travel is required.

Skills You Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of combined experience in Document Control, Materials Logistics, Manufacturing Operations or similar

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • PLM tool experience writing, analyzing, and processing Change Orders

  • ERP experience

  • Curiosity and drive

  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

  • US Citizen or US Green Card Holder due to ITAR and EAR restrictions.

Preferred Skills:

  • 5 Years experience as a Document Control Specialist

  • Experience with the Agile PLM

  • Experience with SAP ERP including Change Master, Material Master, Product Structure and Alternate-BOM creation and maintenance

  • Experience working for a semiconductor capital equipment or other high tech products company

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Sitting for extended periods using a PC computer for data entry and analysis.
