Nike Merchant II, Mens Lifestyle SSI + Classics in Beaverton, Oregon

We are hiring 2 Global Merchant IIs, 1 in Men’s Footwear Classics and 1 in SSI. As a Global Merchant II, you will report directly to the Merchandising Director of Men’s Footwear Lifestyle (SSI or Classics). Within the direct team, you will closely interact, support and assist a Merchandising Lead and a Sr. Merchant that ultimately would own the franchises line plan and journeys. It is imperative that you foster strong relationships with your Merchandising teammates and other cross-functional teams and seek for integration and alignment across everything we do.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will enable the strategizing, building, and managing of global 3-year line plans and product journeys cross-functionally.

A consistent part of your day-to-day responsibilities will be the detailed management, maintenance and communication of all seasonal tools and assortments. Enabling this effort will be the development of key relationships among cross-functional teammates, comfort with research and analysis, along with a genuine curiosity and commitment to learn and evolve.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You’ll partner with several cross-functional teams – consumer planning, product creation, GEO merch, and consumer insights & analytics as well as the gender merchandising teams. A key enabler of your success will be your background and experience in retail.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a combination of relevant experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Retail, Merchandising, Product Management, Marketplace, Buying, or relevant experience

  • Demonstrated understanding of consumer and marketplace

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, experience working on new projects/start-ups/concepts/ideas

  • Proficiency in analyzing business and consumer trends

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to collaboratively manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentations to various cross-functional partners

  • Team first mentality, energy giver
