Nike Lead, Voice of the Consumer Insights & Analytics in Beaverton, Oregon

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Lead Insights Manager, a key member of the Voice of Consumer team, will be responsible for generating compelling and actionable product experience insights. This work will require you to work efficiently across varied datasets (surveys, reviews, transaction logs, behavioral data, etc.) to determine Nike’s biggest opportunities for improving product resonance in the marketplace.

  • You must bring expertise in efficiently querying data in a Big Data environment, conducting rigorous statistical analysis, and visualizing outputs to deliver insights that are easy to understand and impactful.

  • You must be a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and jumps at the opportunity to solve problems that may not have historical precedent.

  • As part of a new distributed team serving the enterprise, you must have an eye for process improvement and bias for scale and efficiency as you conduct your work.

  • You must be able to work on projects autonomously while understanding when to engage other teammates for collaboration and support.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Manage a portfolio of analytics projects that require you to conduct analyses and apply modeling, synthesize findings, and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Work in NLP analytics platform BI to support unstructured and structured/ behavioral and transactional data integrations, models, and dashboard building that generate verifiable and reliable critical metrics for users. Leverage statistical models to identify drivers & metrics within data sets and correlations between data sets.

  • Build automated dashboards to enable monitoring of VoC critical metric trends and sentiment patterns on-demand.

  • Collaborate with other analytics teams and external research partners to shape measurement programs and generate robust insights.

  • Bring new ideas to the table for how we can improve processes and use our data & knowledge to better serve consumers.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Econometrics, Behavioral Sciences, Statistics, Applied Math, or a related field along with 6+ years of professional experience analyzing primary sourced consumer data (with both unstructured and structured data preferred).

  • Track record of being resourceful, collaborative, identifying creative solutions, and discovering new methodologies to answer business questions.

  • Understanding of advanced analytics techniques - particularly those that relate to measuring consumer & business outcomes (impact analysis, causal inference, etc.).

  • Excellent project management capabilities to manage multiple workstreams and complexity; interest in thinking through projects in a process-oriented way.

  • Capacity to translate strategies, concepts and sophisticated ideas into practical analyses that are implemented precisely and on time.

  • Advanced SQL skills and querying big data environments required (e.g. Hadoop, Hive, Snowflake, Databricks).

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (Python also preferred).

  • Proficiency with statistical packages required (e.g. R, SPSS, SAS).

  • Experience working with multidisciplinary partner teams (data science, research, analytics) preferred.

  • Strong communication and findings presentation skills - Can go seamlessly between technical and non-technical audiences who have varying levels of seniority.
