Your strategic approach and experience in the retail industry will be extremely valuable in collaborating with large organizations to provide top-notch insights.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As Lead Applied Analytics Manager your primary responsibility will be to extract actionable insights from data to support key women’s merchandising decisions, such as the breadth and depth of product line offering, assortment building, pricing strategy, etc.. specifically:

  • Conduct analyses using sales, inventory, and customer data to identify trends and patterns, synthesizing actionable insights.

  • Provide consultative services by offering valuable insights to individuals involved and assisting decision-makers in implementing strategies for sustainable growth.

  • Foster analytic insights within business teams, cultivating strong relationships to facilitate the integration of insights.

  • Apply existing research and understanding of customers and markets to guide strategy and tactics.

  • Foster a data-driven culture by promoting the standardization of methods, tools, and knowledge-sharing to support effective analytic insights.

  • Support the execution of the analytics roadmap objectives.

  • Identify internal and external information sources to inform decision-making.

  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

You will work closely with partners from Nike's Global Insights, Data Science, and Analytics (IDSA) team to analyze consumer and commercial data. Your role will involve addressing merchandising inquiries and contributing to growth initiatives. It is crucial for you to comprehend customer and business requirements, present data-driven insights effectively, and collaborate with teams worldwide to help Nike achieve its strategic goals.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Applied Sciences, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics/application with a focus on consumer management and retail.

  • Proven collaboration skills and experience working directly with partners.

  • Passion for understanding consumer needs and using analytics to uncover growth opportunities.

  • Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to senior and business audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships and work successfully in multi-functional teams.

  • Proficient in various technical and analytical tasks, including data wrangling, optimization, simulation, and statistical analysis.

  • Proficiency in SQL required, experience with querying data environments is advantageous.

  • Experience with Python and/or R preferred.

  • International/multi-market retail experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with Nike product types, marketing, and distribution to accounts strongly preferred.
