Job Description:

Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.

Education Qualifications:

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

PRACTICE SPECIFICS:

· Primary site of service will be in Baxter, MN

· This position is a fast paced, acute walk-in care setting. Daily volume 80-120 amongst 4-5 providers.

· 12-hour shifts M-F, 8-hour shifts weekends, 4-hour shifts major holidays.

· Desired skill set: Proficiency in suturing, ortho splinting and procedures, abscess I&D, eye procedures (FB removal), X-ray and EKG interpretation, GYN/sexual health.

· Desired attributes: Positive attitude and innovation, comfort in managing acute illness in both pediatric and adult patients, desire and willingness to learn.

QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements):

EDUCATION:

Master’s or Doctorate degree in nursing or master's degree in physician assistant studies from an accredited program.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Current licensure as a registered nurse in Minnesota and Wisconsin Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota and Wisconsin Current certification in CPR. National certification, in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

Pay Range

$50.95 - $61.14 / hour

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
